Development Partners HIV/AIDS Working Group
The Development Partners group on HIV and AIDS (DPG-AIDS) was formally established in 2000 as a sub-group of DPG Tanzania (DPG-Main) to promote the HIV/AIDS agenda and support the development of the national Multisectoral response and a high-level focus on HIV/AIDS. Currently, DPG-AIDS has an active core of 6-7 and a total of 19 bilateral and multilateral member organisations providing a strong array of expertise for the AIDS response in Tanzania. Its government interlocutor is the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS). DPG-AIDS is open to more bilateral and multilateral members as well as those who wish to join occasionally. The group also invites stakeholders to present when relevant.
